The HP Envy 17 3D is, as the name already implies, a 3D capable laptop with a 17.3 inch 3D display, capable of playing 3D movies, HD movies and 3d games. The device is powered by a quad-core Intel Core i7 processor and n AMD Radeon HD 5850 graphics card. That’s a lot of firepower right there for a laptop, suggesting that it is more of the desktop replacement type than a mobile option for the road.
As mentioned the base configuration sets you back $1599, but the price could get way up depending on the configuration choices you make. Switching from the included Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit to Ultimate for instance adds another $200 to the price tag.
